Martha Vance Alef is from New Albany, Mississippi, and she attended the University of Mississippi for her undergrad where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Social Work. After college, Martha worked as a front-line worker with Child Protection Services of North East Mississippi. This experience had a huge impact on her and ultimately influenced her decision to go to law school. Martha enrolled in Mississippi College School of Law in the fall of 2020 and completed her degree in May 2023. Following law school, Martha decided to call Nashville, Tennessee home. Martha is married to Ryan and has two dogs, Bear and Oakley. Martha serves as an Independent Contractor but is housed at BFP and has the support of the firm. Martha’s interests are criminal and family law. She looks forward to serving her community by acting as an advocate for children, families, and individuals charged with criminal offenses.
